Question by mq0724: Will I get accepted to The University of Texas Austin?
I am an out-of-state applicant (I applied in October) and hoping to be admitted to the RTF program at UT. Here are some of my stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.75
Class Rank: 116/570 (Not top 10% and I know this will hurt me. High School is VERY competitive)
ACT: composite score = 29, english 27, math 33, reading 27, science 29, writing 9
Enrolled in 3 APs, took AP Chemistry last year, AP U.S. History sophomore year
170 hrs of community service (hospital volunteer)
I have a lot of ECs and work experience, and also filmmaking experience
I have heard a lot about UT’s 10% rule and I am starting to feel intimidated. Do I still have a chance of being accepted?

It looks like that you meet the criteria. http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/scores/
So I’d say you have a good chance of getting in.
