Question by Kevin W: What colleges should i apply to if I want to become a television producer/screenwriter?
I want to be a television producer/television/movie writer. What colleges could i realistically gain acceptance into with a 3.19 GPA. By the end of high school i will have taken 9 honors/AP classes. I got a 27 on the ACT and i will be on my school newspaper for 4 years and will hold the position of Associate editor in chief. Any suggestions are appreciated

This is your time to do your research with schools. Computers have done wonders with allowing one to looking things up as simple as a click of a mouse. Type your question into Google and it will come up with a load of answers. NY Film school, and MANY on the West Coast would do well. However, your undergad college is one that is your stepping stone out of high school. You graduate college will give you more structure into your career. I would say places such as NY and California, as they have vast varieties of television opportunities. Also, choose a college where in your ‘spare’ time you can do internships during holiday/summer breaks. or maybe in a job during school if you can handle it.
