A newer version is available at www.youtube.com This was a project for my Advanced Television Production class at Mississippi State University in the fall of 2010. Obviously, the assignment was to create a music video. Before I heard any other details, I knew I wanted my twin sister to be the “star” of it. She began dancing in high school and is now a senior at the University of Mississippi majoring in Speech Language Pathology. Our teacher encouraged us to find music from a local artist. This way, we didn’t have to worry about copyright infringements and we could enter our project in the Magnolia Film Festival in Starkville, Mississippi. After asking around, I discovered Chase Neal. I told Chase my *original* idea for the video, and he said he might have some music that would work. I picked out a song after he played a few things for me. The story represented in the video is as simple as it gets: girl is without guy–dancing solo–and then man comes into picture. The couple is then able to be/dance together. The guy dancer is Blake Garret — an extremely talented individual I have known since middle school. This was filmed at the Bettersworth Auditorium in Lee Hall on Mississippi State’s campus. I will let everyone know how it does in the film festival next semester. By the way, I am a senior in MSU’s world renown Broadcast Meteorology …
