Question by iswdesign: Where can I find jobs for best boy grips?
I want to know how I go about finding jobs as a best boy grip for films. I absolutely love films and would like to one day become a filmmaker myself , but I understand I have to work my way up. I need experience on an actual set. How does one go about getting their foot in the door as a go-pher all? I am willing to start out as a best boy grip, but have no idea on where to start. I live in Orlando, Florida.

Unless you were willing to re-locate to New York or Hollywood, I don’t know. I’m not knowledgeable about the locations of the smaller markets, as far as filmmaking. But I do know that whenever a person has a dream or goal, he will find a way! Can you submit an online resume?
I remember how my Mom & I always sat through the complete credits of every movie, long after everyone else had gone. I thought I must have been the only kid who knew what a key grip, dolly grip, and gaffer were!
