Question by Kafka’s niece: What is the title of the documentary set in India about the effects of globalization on an isolated village?
I believe this movie is titled by the same name of the area that it focuses on. It is about a community in Northern India (I think) that is fairly untouched by the Western World until recently (the 1990s?). A major road has since been built through their community and tourism has come, and the face of the culture and the lives of the people who live there has changed radically. The documentary focusses on these changes and the downfalls of globalization. Any idea what the title is??

I’m not sure exactly what film you are describing, but I know of two very good documentary films relating to globalization in India. They are:
