At USC, UCLA, or NYU you could make vital connections to your career. That said TV Screen writing is heavily unionized and is mostly done in LA. A lot of the Hollywood bigwigs also live in Manhattan, NYC, but your best bet would be to attend a university known for producing screen writers. Actually it’s not that difficult a job. A group of writers, sometimes a dozen, sit around a table and toss out ideas until the majority thinks it is a good idea and they test it out.
