Question by Mario F: Which camera should I use to shoot a professional looking movie? should JVC GY HD100U be ok?
I’m looking to work as an independent filmmaker. I would like to produce my first feature film but don’t really know which camera to use. I want it to look professional and not home made crap. Could anyone give some suggestions? Don’t mind the price. I was looking at a JVC GY HD100U to do the job.
Thank you.

It’s a good choice, because so many HD formats are stuffing HD into a mini-DV tape, which means a few compromises. I’d look at this one and compare it with the XDCAM format.
Also, since you have a budget, you might want to consider renting a great camera instead of buying a good camera.
The link is a review of the JVC.
