Question by Katie: College Video Portfolio Question?
I’m making a video portfolio for different colleges I’m applying to such as NYU, Montclair State University, School of Visual Arts and SUNY Purchase. The portfolio should only be about 5-7min long. To make the portfolio I took all of the projects that I filmed and edited from my video class and edited it into a montage. I don’t know what to do for the sound. The quality of what is being said in the different projects isn’t very good in my opinion. I was wondering if I should mute the sound and put a song over top or should I leave the sound and voices with a song playing in the background? Also what song should I pick? Should it be an instrumental song? If you have any suggestions about the portfolio in general please let me know! Help and advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks 😉
