Im looking for a good film editing software like pinnacle and a good video camera thats compatible with it.

First thing you must remember, a good film editing software is equal to a good computer hardware. Pinnacle is not as good for editing for film. I think the cheapest software is Final Cut Pro, using Mac G5 computer. XDcam is the best video camera about the same quality with film camera using HDV technology. To produce film is not a one-man-show, its a teamwork of talented crews.
