Question by Automatic For The People: Do You Think This Is A Good Short Letter To A Film Company?
Below, I have been copying and pasting that same message to companies, trying to get my work out there. Do you think that this is a good short letter to post: Would like to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks:
Short Letter:
I have attached a two page synopsis for my Drama feature and would hope that you will be able to read it and see what you think of it.
I am a passionate individual concerning film and the industry and I have been writing scripts for several years, but have only now decided to begin to try and sell
my work. I am 22 years of age. I have a diploma in Media Production and I studied Film Production at university for a year. If you would be able to give me some feedback, that would be much appreciated. I have completed the full length script, but wanted you to read the synopsis beforehand.
I have attached two files, just in case one doesn’t open. One is a PDF format and the other is a Microsoft Word format.
Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards

there are too many sentences starting with ‘I’. you should put the ‘who you are’ first as an introduction as you have the attachment sentence in there twice anyhow. they probably get a ton of those things all the time so you should blow your own horn a little more for a chance of being read at all (make them nosy).
good luck!
