One million dollars for a script or defending a piece of garbage like Michael Vick for A million dollars. As far as potential if your a good writer and can adapt things like novels to the big screen there is a market for that but to get people to notice you are good takes time patients and luck. Where as if you go to law school and are a good lawyer there is always a demand for people who know there way around the legal system. That’s assuming you are good at either one of those things. Apples to oranges your earning potential in both areas is limited by your ability to write or your ability to present cases well. Not always in court.
