Question by W J: Why do filmmakers like to film in Canada when portraying American states and cities?
I can definitely tell when they are filming in Toronto to portray NYC or Chicago and it ruins the whole movie. It seems that Hollywood thinks Toronto is the ultimate generic city. With the Canadian dollar close to 1 to 1 maybe this trend will stop.
