Bradford has been designated UNESCO’s first ever “City of Film”, and is now part of the UNESCO (United Nations, Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organisation) Creative Cities Network. It is the only city in England, and the third in the UK to receive a UNESCO designation after Edinburgh (City of Literature), and Glasgow (City of Music). The city is home to the National Media Museum. The Bradford City of Film partnership is an initiative between the Museum, Bradford Council and Screen Yorkshire, with the support of Pace Electronics (based in the city) and the University of Bradford, who run courses in media production.
