Question by Ready2beMe: Is it better to go to an acting academy?
I’ve been acting since I was 4. I have a lot of experience and have been in two independent movies. I’m a senior in high school and taking group as well as private acting classes. My question is if I really want acting in tv/film to be my career, should I go to an acting academy? I.e American academy of dramatic arts.. Or would my best bet be moving to L.A. or NYC and pursuing it full force? In the AADA you can not audition for things while enrolled…. So any advice?

Why not take a year out after high school, go to New York or LA and see if you can get an agent or some work, and then after a year decide of you want to go to drama school (which would be safer and probably give you more of a guarantee of work), or stick with what you’re doing (which may be faster or more excting, but is also riskier and could see you waste a lot of time and get ripped off a lot).
