Question by Nomorespying!: If I introduce a writer to a film producer am I entitled to anything?
I just moved to LA and I meet a guy in hollywood who makes movies. I asked him if I could learn from him and what I should do if I came across a good script. He said read and if you like it bring it to me and we will go from there. So, I introduced him and the writer and neither one talk to me. Am I legally entitled to any of the profits of the movie?

Answer by I ♥ Joss Whedon
Probably not, next time it would probably be best to become the writers agent before you begin networking for him. Or when the producer has another film coming up request job in place of a learning experience. If you have reason to believe you are truly entitled to profits then seek legal counsel.
