The Vineyard Haven Library will be open Sunday afternoons all winter beginning this Sunday. Celebrate at the Halloween open house which runs from noon to 4 pm with cider, cookies, and Halloween treats. Children five and up should come in costume and enjoy a drop-in crafts program.

Students learn African ancestry on trip
Twenty-two students from Traci Williams’ Black Images class sought the truth about their African ancestry on a bus trip to three museums in Michigan. During the course of the semester the class has been discussing negative depictions of African Americans in media.
