When I spoke with my counselor there, she had shown me some stats that of that particular school, some 90% of the web design people got handed jobs in their field right off that bat when they graduated, which are great odds. That seems to be the job most in demand, but really would make the decision based on what you can see yourself still doing 10 years from now. I guess a good rule of thumb is to pick a career you wouldn’t mind doing for free, but then get paid to do it. =]
Audio production is much less art based than the others. Film and video is more of an even mix between art and technical. Game art is just like animation but a nice choice if you’re really imaginative but not so good with a pencil. Even so, I’m personally an animation major and you improve a lot technique wise as you go along.
In terms monetary gain though, I would have to say audio prod, video, or web/interactive media, as though are broader majors and more in demand. Web design I think has a higher average starting salary as well.
