Question by Amy: What universities have good film programs?
I’m about to graduate from South Plains College with and associates in video production technology. I’m look for universities that have a good film department. Right now I’m looking at UNT, but there are 3 classes you have to take before you can get into the program (classes only they offer). I basically cannot take any film classes or use any equipment or anything until I’ve been there a year. I understand the need for this with an average incoming student, but I’ve already got experience, certificates and awards and don’t want to be sitting around for a year. What other schools have good film programs that won’t have this catch?

USC has a good one. George Lucas and John Wayne both went there.
