Question by radiantredangel: info on Digital Film making class in High School?
So, there is a good class at my high school with digital film making. It’s all great new technology, mac computers, everything. Well, I need one more elective for 9th grade next year, and if I take digital film making, then it counts as a P.E. credit so I don’t have to do any sports, which is what I want. But I have never done anything with a camera, besides when I was little, playing with my parents camcorder. And I’m scared that I wont be able to do the work, or be creative enough, and that my videos will suck. I have no idea what they do. And I have to take this class, before I can take photography sophomore year. Sucks, I know. But I just want to take photography. So can anyone PLEASE tell me about digital film making class? What do you guys do in it? What are homework and tests and assignments like? It’d be greatly appreciated.

Answer by Death.
Is it a digital film making class or digital filmmaking?
One tip — if you’re concerned about whether or not you’ll be able to do the work, find out if there’s a prerequisite. When I picked classes for my freshman year of high school, everyone got a book an inch thick with listings of what happens in each class, and it had a chart for each subject to show whether you had to take a certain class before you could take another class.
If all else fails, you can ask someone at the school about the difficulty level of the class and whether it would be alright for someone with no experience. However — if they require it BEFORE taking photography, I doubt it would be any more difficult than photography itself.
