Question by Chris: What are the best film schools in California (besides USC and UCLA)?
I know that USC and UCLA are supposed to be the best, but are very hard to get into. I want to go to a school with a very good film program with an emphasis on directing. My next top choices would be Loyola Marymount and Chapman, but those are also hard to get into. I am looking at CSU Long Beach and CSU Northridge as well. How good are Long Beach and Northridge for a film major with an emphasis on directing? What are other good schools in California near L.A. that offer good film programs?

Chapman is probably better that UCLA and USC for that major. I know SOO many people who go to Chapman w/ that major. I have no idea why, but their reputation is really good.
