Yeah, I want to be a director, maybe screenwriter. What kind of degrees or majors should I look in to and what about a good college?

Directing, screenwriting, drama, English, theater would be the majors to consider.
There are RTF schools all across the country. The best are in LA (USC, UCLA) and NY (NYU, Columbia, The New School, etc.), both in terms of the facilities and opportunities available in the cities. Northwestern in Evanston (Chicago) is a good one, and there is a pretty good theater scene in Chicago. Really, you can do it wherever, but the better the school, the better the opportunities, and the better the resources, the better your chances of realizing your dream are. Also, experience is a great teacher, so do as many projects as you can and always seek out expert advice.
Best of luck.
