Question by David H: I need to find music I can use for a film I am making at college, and I can’t use copyrighted music.?
So I have to make a music video for my film class and in the event it is good enough to submit my teacher wont let us use copyrighted music. What can I do? I don’t think I can make music that is good enough. I don’t know any bands personally who would let me use their music. I need ideas.
I was looking at public domain sites but that is all music composed before 1920 and I really don’t feel music that old is what I am looking for.

As I understand, most colleges do have a music program for musicians. Try placing a request with the music department’s Head of Staff, or asking individual teachers to mention it in their classes that a fellow student is looking for help with music production on a project. Getting credit is like getting some fame, and any publicity is good publicity.
