This is a video explaining the basics of how I produce custom films using The Movies, a business simulation game produced by Lionhead Studios in 2005, with the Stunts and Effects expansion pack released in 2006. I have made several animated films using The Movies, mainly remakes of famous scenes from films, and this video explains how they are produced to viewers unfamiliar with the game. It isn’t an in-depth and detailed exploration of the game, but rather a brief description of how I make the short remakes. It was recorded with a licensed version of Fraps, a recording tool used for video games and simulators. Using a new PC and modifications for The Movies, I will be producing several new films for this channel, including more scene remakes, and several more for affiliated channels. Original motion pictures, around 20 minutes in length each, will be made by my independent production company DUKE Films, and a special channel or playlist will be established for themed videos by Rational Rooster Productions, focusing on scepticism, critical thinking, the scientific method, political secularism, and humanism. Most of these productions will use The Movies and its’ derivatives for scripting and production purposes. Visit the channel for updates and new uploads.
