Olympic filmmaker Bud Greenspan dead at 84
For many athletes, from the famous to the obscure, the honor of appearing in one of Joseph “Bud” Greenspan ’s Olympic documentaries was second only to winning a medal. The filmmaker, who crafted riveting tales chronicling athletes’ triumphs for more than six decades, died Saturday at his home in New York City of complications from Parkinson’s disease, companion Nancy Beffa said. He was 84.
