I want something that will work with iMovie and will take good Audio/Video. My budget is about $ 400. Any suggestions?

for good audio get a boom and microphones and or a sound mixer – sound is an art in itself – good sound you dont notice, poor sound and people wont “watch” it
camera – make sure its 3ccd
Canon XL series are good
For professional broadcast standard buy a Betacam DV
Sony are the biggest maker of broadcast standard cameras.
