Question by Angelic A: Between a BA in Secondary Education (ESL) and A.A.S in Business Administration, which is better?
I just want to finish my college and quickly get a job or get some credit so I can go to Full Sail, which is practically my dream school now (I want to be a filmmaker). I started out in Education, but HATE it. But now it seems the best way is to finish with something so I can get a better paying job than my current part time job in retail.
My question is, would that be easier with the BA in Education or an Associate’s in Business Administration (with which I could finish school quicker).
I’m not looking for a career in either. Just a decent paying job.

Wow, so you if want just a job, why stay in school? You would be spending time and money. How I understand you not liking education, it’s really tough, I just got my degree last year in education.
But, I’m gonna be honest when I say don’t just go for an Associate’s jut to get out of school. If you’re gonna switch over to business get the Bachelor’s. Don’t chicken out just because of the film industry. It will still be there when you finish a four-year degree. And especially because you want to go in a different field, having a bachelor’s in business will help wherever you do or end up 10-15-20 years from now.
Having a business degree never goes out of style, and possibly years from now, more jobs may require the bachelor’s rather than the associate’s. So a little more time and effort now will definitely pay off in the future, and possibly for a job that pays well.
