schools depend on where you are. you didn’t really mention that. in los angeles usc and ucla are pretty good. but it does not really depend on the school all that much. I know people from schools that don’t rank highly who got accepted to the cannes film festival.
Basically try to get a minor job in the film industry. It helps you to understand the industry and you can draw conncections. That is very important when it comes to marketing short movies that you might make later on.
