As a final project for a film production course at the university, gender segregation law for higher education campuses in Kuwait is the main topic of this video. Most of us disagree with this law, hence the name of the short video. We decided to take the viewer back in time—in the 60’s because it is my favorite decade—fantasizing many aspects of the time, including college life for Kuwaiti students when segregation didn’t exist. This is a class work so it is impossible to make it historically-accurate, and therefore inspired me to merge contemporary features (ie the soundtrack). The soundtrack was derived from Chanle fashion show Fall 2010 2011, Thanks to Yousef Al-Taher.
