Question by Asylum S: So…if the film director doesn’t show up…do you replace them?
Quick synopsis- in a tv studio production class where we have the freedom to do whatever we want. Some girl proclaimed herself “director”, we all stupidly say “ok”, she takes the role too seriously and shoots down EVERY idea anybody makes.
When we begin filming during the next class meeting, she doesn’t even show up. So to prevent the class from being a total waste of time, i played temp director. I was voted to be the permanent director, but is it ok to fully take over since the original person didn’t even show up?

Exact same thing happened to me. Yes, don’t worry about it. This self proclaimed director showed her respect and interest for the crew and the project…as in she has none. The show must go on and you’ve shown responsibility and maturity by taking over. Let this other loud mouth girl do clapper board duties when she does bother to show up. Good luck filming! 🙂
