Question by Walk By Faith: Can I get a Radio DJ job with THIS certification?
I’m going to a film/broadcasting school in Detroit and the course I’m taking is a year. The certificate is called Digital Media Arts and before getting it I’ll learn to storyboard, shoot video, edit it and upload it to a website that I build and maintain throughout school. So, it’s a lot of video production and web based learning but I know the radio market is going “online” a lot more than they used to. The course also teaches some audio editing.
If I get an internship at a radio station and work my way up would they possibly hire me with this kind of certification? Thanks! 🙂

If you are the only one with this type of training and none of the other applicants have any live experience, possibly.
