Question by Ashley: Can someone creative please help us with a short film idea?
Please don’t leave ideas if you’re not serious about them. No rude remarks. Anyways, my friends and I want to create a short film and we’ve pitched hundreds of ideas to each other, but we can’t think of a perfect one. We’re teenagers, 13 and we want something family friendly and funny. We want short like about an hour. Please help!

When I was your age I would ask my mom or dad for money. The response was almost always, “What, you think money grows on trees?” I ended up writing a speech on that for speech class.
I would show the father and mother going out to a money tree secretly at night and picking money. This is the only tree that Dad or Mom waters everyday. All the other trees in the yard are never watered.
the money only grows at night. You could use monopoly money clipped to the tree.
The film starts out with you asking for money and getting the typical money tree response. Obviously, you think Mom and Dad are tight with their money. Somewhere in the film you discover the truth after noticing your parents seem to be buying many new things for themselves. And you notice that your little brother is sneaking out of the house to the backyard nearly every night; he has discovered the money tree. One night, you stay awake and you too discover your parents doing the same thing as your little brother. Finally, one day when you ask for money and your parents come up with the same answer, “What, you think money grows on trees?” you confront them with the truth. They are upset, but they get their revenge–your new chore is to water the money tree everyday.
