Question by totallyawesomefunk: College Help Please!?
So here’s my high school record:
Freshman year – I got A’s in all my classes but I got a B (1st semester) and then a C (2nd semester) in AP Calculus BC (mind you, i took the class as a freshman)
Sophomore, Junior, Senior year – I got A’s in all my classes and took eleven APs altogether.
Extracurricular/School – Founder of the Filmmaking Club at my school, President of the Improv Team, CoPresident of M.U.N, and President of JSA. Editor in Chief of the school newspaper, and I’m also ASB (aka Student Body) President. I have been in four school musicals, and been crew for one. As a senior, this is my third year on the track team.
Extracurricular/Volunteer – I created a one-on-one mentor/menti program at a nearby Homework Center to help the Latino community. I also volunteer at an Improv Studio when they do their shows.
Extracurricular/Activities – I sing, dance, act, and am in a youth orchestra nearby (i play violin).
Summer Activities – I interned at Seoul National University – BioChemistry for one summer; Community College classes one summer (that’s when I volunteered a lot!); went to a French camp.
My question is – I got a C my freshman year but it was in an AP class. I got a 5 on the AP test, but I”m really nervous that the C is going to fail me. I want to get into Harvard, Princeton, Yale, the whole shebang. Can you tell me what you think and the reasons why? Do you think the C is going to be a really big deal?
I applied as Undeclared, because I’m planning on majoring in ENglish/History, but I’m not sure yet.

if the final grade is an A it doesnt matter, and either way it wouldnt matter much because colleges look for rounded students who do more than academics, so you should be more that ok.
