Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus, hosted the first public showing of the documentary: “The Bituminous Coal Queens of Pennsylvania”. The movie follows a former coal-queen-turned-actress on her journey home for the 50th anniversary pageant. Directed by David Hunt, and produced by Emmy-winning actress Patricia Heaton, the movie has been well-received in the community, and around the nation. Hunt said, after visiting Fayette County for the first time, he didn’t have to think twice about directing the documentary.
