Question by Nataliee: Does this plot sound interesting? Would you read it!?
Benny has achieved one of her main goals in life- she has directed a short film and entered it into a nationwide short film festival and took home the first place trophy. Suddenly being in demand for advertisements and indie films, Benny and her brother, Joshua, make their most defining decision to date. They move to the Big Apple. The siblings have swapped acres of land to a 2-bedroom apartment, grand oak trees offering shade and comfort to the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum; complete with the judgemental stares of New York locals.
When Benny get’s fed up with the current film trend, she decides to take the future into her own hands by starting an underground film school. Instead of the prospective students she hoped to have, she gains the attention of drug addicts and low-lives who want to take advantage of Benny’s good nature. She soon learns that they aren’t as bad as she first thought, but her opinion of them only change after she has become one of them. Joshua stages an intervention, worried for his younger sister, but is told that Benny is only doing these things for a documentary. Is she lying to her brother, or will this documentary make her a common household name?
