Kris Kringle for Co-Workers
When the festive season rolls around, there will often be someone who organises a Kris Kringle event (also known as Secret Santa). Even though you do spend a good chunk of your week with many of these people, it can often be tricky knowing what is ideal for Irene from Accounting (especially when there is a $ 10 or $ 15 limit!) This is why giving a DVD is the perfect solution. There are 1000s of titles to choose from and many are under $ 15.
DVDs for Children
On Christmas morning, depending on your family’s festive traditions, the kids will usually expect to see a stocking filled to the bream with goodies from Santa. Being creative and thoughtful can get a bit difficult after a few years, yet the children will still want their gifts from Father Christmas, so while many stocking fillers are often played with on Christmas Day and then thrown away, DVDs are sure to be watched time and time again, long after the festive season is over.
They are inexpensive for Mum and Dad, and the catalogue of available children’s movie and TV show titles are almost endless.
Classic DVDs
While most of the younger generations are fully aware of the technology that is available to them, the older members of many families are probably still becoming accustomed to DVDs and DVD players, especially if they have an aversion to all things new.
Introducing DVDs at Christmas time is the perfect way to open up the older generation to all the movies they loved when they were younger. Many of the films from the early days of filmmaking have all been remastered and digitally enhanced for superior viewing
If in Doubt, Buy a DVD
There are always some people on your gift list that you may have already purchased some presents for, but just need some little extras to find under the tree on Christmas morning. If that’s the case, then DVDs are ideal as they are affordable and are easy to pick up last minute!

Question by superstar dj: Original Star Wars — who was responsible for its amazing characters and story?
Clearly, George Lucas does not have what it takes to write and create an epic story. He’s creative, and a pretty decent filmmaker, but the three newer Star Wars films were all CGI with little meaningful character or compelling story.
I’ve read that Lucas did not re-use several of the people who assisted him on the original Star Wars. It’s seems pretty clear that at least one of these was essential to the story element.
Any idea whom?
Steven Spielberg is a great storyteller. I don’t think he consulted to Star Wars … but his gift is what the latter ones lacked.
