I made this video for my vis175 class (an intro course in editing). It was one of my very first projects ever that I directed and edited using final cut pro. My old roomate Brian Park graciously helped me as cameraman on his off time from his classes and studying. It was a great learning project and one day hope to make film production a career. The quote comes from my old basketball coach Brian Bedford who gave us the these words of inspiration (in a frame to put on our desks) after 5 years of coaching my teammates and I in club basketball. He actually holds a California record for field goal percentage in high school basketball, and played football on a professional and collegiate level for UC Berkeley. So he does hold credentials for work ethic and believing in oneself. The video itself speaks not only on athletics but in achieving goals on any level and in any form. Nothing is done overnight and I’v been trying to implement that mentality into my everyday life. Attack challenges one step at a time and before you know it, when you take a look back, you realize you have exceeded your own expectations. Just keep your eyes on the prize, WORK HARD (I emphasize this point), and NEVER give up. Enjoy!
