However, we have seen filmmakers dabbling in new territories and breaking free from many of the tired tried and true formulas of slasher music and teen killing romps. It seems as though many filmmakers are looking at horror books in the small press and independent press for good ideas. This we should all be thankful about. Sure, Stephen King is a great writer, but there are countless talented writers in the small and indy press just dying to have one of their horror books turned into film. Now let’s not forget the power of the internet! Now with barriers disappearing seemingly on a daily basis, more and more independent folks are able to see their
