Question by Missy: I have a question about movie pitching?
I have a great idea for a movie. It’s a horror/suspense film. I have already written the plot of the movie now all I need to do is pitch it to someone who will have (at least) a meeting with me. Of course my name is not out there, I don’t have any money, and I’m new to the game. But, I was wondering if any of you had some advice for me on how to get a production companies attention so I can pitch my idea to them? Also, can you reommend some production companies or people who I can talk to about my movie? Thanks!
Please no sarcastic answers, I only want answers from those who are serious and are in the film industry themself.

Let me initially send you to www.pitchbull.com.
Now, there are seminars and convention where you can spend your days pitching your film to numerous companies, but that can get kinda expensive ($ 250 for the convention fees, but associated costs to get down there), so I’ll also direct you to www.scriptapalooza.com as well, as they would have a link.
