Question by CBSoup: I want to make a documentary against violence in my school?
There’s been more than the normal amount of physical fights in my highschool this school year. I want to make a documentary with interviews from the students. I want it to explain why the student body thinks there has been so many fights, how to prevent it, staff input, etc. How can I go about this? I would really appreciate this.

Big project but a meaningful one. Start out small with a few interviews on all sides, then sit back, analyze them and chart your final course based on what you find out in this input, and then, do more in depth interviews for the final product. Keep it Objective and avoid Editorializing. At the end you can summarize and then maybe add your own thoughts on the subject.
The big test is your interviewing skills. You must get the facts and some opinions (Make sure you know the difference) Don’t let the Interviewees control you, don’t let them sidetrack you. There will be a big effort to keep you from the real reasons. Maintain control at all times, or, throw that interview in the trash.
