Question by a: Is the 27-inch iMac the best for filmmaking?
I’m just getting started and collecting all of my equipment and such to begin taking my short filmmaking seriously. I was looking at the 27 inch iMac, and just needed some reassurance that this is the best. I was thinking about a 17″ macbook pro as well. A little advice would be great, thanks so much! (P.S. i will be using Final Cut Pro for all editing)

I heard a lot of hardware issues with the screen on the most recent iMacs so I would just stick with a different model. Plus, since you’ll be doing a lot of heavy production and stuff, like audio and stuff like that, an iMac isn’t the best value, try just getting a cheap tower and a large screen, that way you can save money that you can use on other equipment.
