Karl Von Moller graduated from the Swinburne “Film and TV School” now the VCA part of Melbourne University. Karl has worked as a Director and Cinematographer in advertising, shooting hundreds of commercials for the likes of The Australian Defense Force, Canon, Hewlard Packard, and many other International Clients. Also shooting and Directing many Music Video’s Karl has been involved in Cinematography for long format projects, filming additional material for “Subtorano” and “The Honorable Wally Norman”. In 1995, he shot additional material for the action film “Under the gun” and shot his first feature as principle “Director of Photography”, — the art house film “Freedom Deep”. This was followed by the AFI winning short “Break and Enter” produced by Melanie Coombs. In 1999 he shot a feature film for Oscar and Kate Whitbread entitled “Nigel”. Karl has shot documentaries on many varied subjects including “Marrying In” by Lea Bolton, “Original Schtick” for Maciej Wszelaki (additional material) as well as continuing to shoot shorts for others. Karl shot the horror feature “Storm Warning” and the Australian leg of the Roger Donaldson directed film “The Bank Job”. Recently he was Cinematographer on the feature “Long Weekend” and has traveled the world shooting for Mark Hartley, the documentary “Not Quite Hollywood” & Mark’s most recent Documentary “Machete Maidens Unleashed”.
