***WE INTERRUPT YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED AWZ VIEWING FOR THIS SPECIAL MESSAGE*** EKP recently discovered Lady Pochoir, a snazzy film about finding love and happiness in the modern world. With its vibrant sights and sounds, we were swept into the life of Yv (Nadine Rennack), bike courier and graffiti artist. We loved watching as she was tempted by a glamourous publisher (Verena Zimmermann), aggravated by an annoying policewoman (Vanessa Jung), and often confused by her well-meaning-but-never-entirely-clear best friend Stan (Dennis Grabosch). In short, everybody gets cookies! Lilith got the chance to personally deliver cookies to the creators of the film – former AWZ director Petra Clever and camerawoman Karo Keller – at the Hamburg International Queer Festival last weekend. (Apologies for the poor sound at parts – Hamburg is WINDY!) They talked to her a bit about making Lady Pochoir – here’s what they had to say… Lady Pochoir makes its North American debut at Reeling, Chicago’s Lesbian & Gay International Film Festival as part of the “Across Lesbian Borders” programme (Saturday, November 15, 5:15 pm).
