Day 131: Makin’ Movies
I’m just about ready to start shooting my next movie, and I am tremendously excited about it. I decided to do an homage to Mark Borchardt and Mike Schank, the heroes of American Movie, which I watched tonight for maybe the fifth time. This is one of the funniest and most deeply brilliant documentaries I’ve ever seen, and you should all watch it immediately.
Marty (at right) currently holds the record for the most appearances in movies I’ve made; I think he’s been in four or five of them. At this point it’s become a rule that if nothing fits, I work in a part for him. He can hold a screen like nobody’s business.
