Question by Rebecka: My dream is to be a film producer…?
but i know i have to start small. I am 16 and I have a natural talent for acting and writing, but that’s it, honestly. I want so badly to be something, but I don’t even know where to start. I’m taking acting classes next semester at school, but that doesn’t really help me in the future. I DO NOT have the look of an actress. I am, plainly put, fat (220 pounds) and ugly. “Getting pretty” and “Losing weight” aren’t helpful tips. I want to be exactly the way i am and still do what i love doing: Acting and writing. Can anyone give me any advice? Has anyone else had this setback in their life? I know eventually i will lose the extra weight, but right now, as i’m only 16, there isn’t much i can do about it except eat right and exercise (which i do daily). Any tips would be appreciated!

Visualize yourself being a film producer every time you have a minute to think. Sitting on the train, before you go to bed, even sitting on the toilet. Dig deep and work hard, as long as you keep on dreaming the dream, it’ll come true. Looks and weight have nothing to do with it, its talent and sheer dedication which are the key.
Try getting your foot in the door first, audition for parts in a local play or theatre show,go for parts as an extra or even ask if you can make the tea and coffee for the crew. Try and become a regular face on sets and im sure you’ll get a break.
Good luck dude
