Question by …: Need creative ideas for painting a disco themed dance room?
I would like to turn my unfinished basement into a disco dance room complete with disco balls, strobe and black lights. Any suggestions for paint colors that would go well with such lighting?
It is an oddly shaped basement with more than four walls. To get an idea of what I mean, please see the following photo.

One of the walls is bright lime green and has to stay that way. (I’m an independent filmmaker and use it like weathermen do with their colored screens behind them.)
I don’t plan on having furniture in the room, so anything goes. I’d also like to paint the plain wooden steps and now bare concrete floors.
I’m open to any ideas.

You should really find a way to incorporate some black light paint or glow in the dark paint

You could paint the walls dark, and either pick a design and paint it a light color, then go over the design with the glow in the dark paint, or you could paint the walls and splatter diffferent color paint, then take the glow in the dark paint and splatter it all over your splattered paint job. You could use the same lime green as one of your splatter colors, which will make your green wall look more like an accent wall, and you could paint the wood steps the same green as well.
