This film was made through the ISIS production and training initiative run by the Documentary Filmmakers Group (DFG) the UKs leading provider of training in documentary filmmaking, in partnership with the British Institute of Human Rights. ISIS is a groundbreaking documentary production and training initiative designed to produce great human rights films and give talented women directors the skills they need to get ahead in the industry. Sixteen emerging female filmmakers were trained over three months in preparation for the production of three human rights films which were finished in May 2009. The three finished short documentaries made by ISIS participants deal with childrens rights, disabled access to transport and the rights of parents with learning difficulties. The initiative ran over a series of weekends in the first half of 2009. As part of the course ISIS training course, participants developed and pitched their proposal for short documentaries on current human rights issues and three were selected to go into production.
