Description
The Independent Filmmaker is often the Producer also. Generally the Independent Filmmaker must do the job of two producers.
The “Executive Producer” is the dealmaker, the financier. In an independent film the Investor is often the Executive Producer. On the set or on location the Executive Producer is watching the shooting schedule, the budget and the money.
The Line Producer is in charge of logistics for the shoot. The Line Producer will hire the crew, order supplies, and equipment and make sure the director has everything she/he needs to make the Project progress smoothly. During production, a Line Producer will work on one film at a time.
We regularly receive feedback that we have successfully drafted our filmmaker contracts to be as complete as possible for all legal situations. However, should you experience a unique personal situation requiring the drafting of a special clause, please contact us at your convenience. Otherwise, you may be obliged to find a local entertainment lawyer experienced in the film making industry who will draft any and all other clauses for your Project’s unique situation or circumstance.
This Agreement between the independent Investor and the Producer is drafted in plain English that is easy to read and comprehend. This is a seven page, twenty-three clause Agreement. The Agreement may be filled in on your computer or printed out and filled in later.
This agreement is part of the Producer’s Deal, and the Investor’s Deal.
