Feds urged to up biofuels support
Washington — As President Barack Obama called Wednesday for a drastic reduction in U.S. oil imports and an increase in “biofuels made from things like switchgrass, wood chips and biomass,” ethanol industry leaders and experts told a Senate panel the federal government would need to boost support for the alternative fuels if they’re to become viable in the long-term.
