
eMi UK: June 3 – 20, 2010 “To feed an African child is good, but to educate an African child is better” The African Dream Academy, is a Christian organization that is passionately dedicated to making Liberia and Africa a better place to live by starting with the most significant members of our home, community, country, continent and world –our young people and children. The African Dream Academy started ten years ago with 28 orphans after the war in Liberia, West Africa. It is now reaching thousands, with over 6300 children and youth reached last year. ADA has passionately embarked upon a journey to empower African youth and children to achieve their dreams. After ten years of working with youth through VBS/Dream Camp in Liberia, ADA is taking a new approach to poverty reduction and sustainable development in Liberia, West Africa. They will do this by empowering the African youth and kids to achieve their dreams by providing a high caliber education that addresses their spiritual needs as well as providing them with technical skills without any undue cost to the student. We strongly believe that in order to change their lives, these students must be empowered to achieve their dreams. It is from this conviction that the African Dream Academy was born.
