Question by John N: Film Business?
I am a film major and I have been behind the scenes to a few movie productions, but nothing substantial. So I’ve always wanted to be involved in film by some means but I never knew exactly where to place myself.
Based on my looks and entertainment-like personality people say I could make it in the business as an actor. I’ve never taken drama or acting but I did do one high-school play where I was surprisingly casted to a large role and recieved rave reviews.
So my question is: After/during my university education (which is most important) how do I get involved into and prepare myself for acting and is it practical for a guy who is 5 ft 8, 150lbs to get lead/important roles?

I think you should keep up the good work and get involved behind the scenes of more movies while studying towards your degree.
Getting a lead role is not dependent on your height. Lots of good actors are shorter than average. But it can help if you are tall and handsome.
Good luck
